2006 was a very busy year for all of us here on the farm. We have taken on even more Farmers Markets, most of which have been concentrated in Essex and London areas and so are out every weekend with up to four markets on any one day! As always we love meeting our new and existing customers and would like to thank you all for your continued support.

This year the Taste of Kent Awards were run slightly differently to the previous two years. Voting was via the internet only and was only open for one week, and the three finalists in each category were then either blind taste tested or if a restaurant etc visited by the panel of judges. It gives us great pleasure to announce that Core Fruit Products won their category again – the only company to win for three consecutive years!

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to all of you who voted – it really is lovely to know that so many of you enjoy our products.

The biggest news we have to report this year is that we are branching out into cider! We have all been studying hard for our alcohol licenses, designing labels, choosing a new brand name and generally doing lots of tasting!! HARD CORE Cider should be available to buy by the end of January and will be available over the internet and at some of our farmers markets, as well as in pubs, restaurants and those farmshops with their own alcohol licenses.

All in all, a very successful first trip to these awards!
